Patio Umbrella

A few years ago, we upholstered the patio furniture for this customer.....

And now it was time for the umbrella to get a make-over!

Definitely love this color better than the green it used to be!
A little bit of green in the chair fabric, brings this all together!

Retro Stool

What is Retro style furniture?
The word Retro signifies looking backward.
RETRO furniture belongs to the decades between 1950 and 1970.

Furniture from the 1950s showed the influence of modern furniture growing. Sleek furniture with a slender profile was placed against bold patterned wallpapers and fabrics. Retro style furniture of the 1950s included diners with Formica-topped tables and chrome bar stools!

Lots of Color!

Love customers who are not afraid of color!
These Shabby Chic dining nook cushions are so fun!
These fabrics from overseas are all hand crafted.....
Again, the Shabby Chic look for the sitting area.....
Lots of Down to take away the rigidity of the cushions makes this piece so welcoming!

More Shabby Chic....

The name says it all in shabby chic, a popular decorating style that embraces the look of timeworn furnishings. Faded fabrics and washed-out prints; its all fun!
In the design world, chic means elegant, fashionable and trendy.  With French origins, chic can be used to describe practically any style with a casual, understated look that is still hip, fresh, updated and modern.

This style originated in Britain, with the term “shabby chic” first appearing in "The World of Interiors" magazine during the 1980s.

Love the violet side of purple with the large red polka dots!
This cushion has a eggplant purple for the boxing with a brighter yet worn yellow for the welt!
This will make a cozy reading corner!

Shabby Chic Week!.....

Shabby Chic is a form of interior design where furniture and furnishings are chosen
for their appearance of age and signs of wear and tear!

This bench has a down cushion with foam core......
letting it be "shabby" in appearance!
This cushion is made from a West African robe!
The robe is a product of Northern Nigeria from the Hausa Textile workers.
The Hausa name for the robe is: riga
It is usually not possible to attribute a specific ethnic origin to this type of robe on stylistic grounds alone. Although today they are often still made from hand-woven cloth, the painstaking and beautiful hand embroidery used in the past is very rarely seen. Fine old robes have become family heirlooms passed on from father to son and worn with pride at major celebrations.

In this case......
it has been given a new life in the Shabby Chic style of a window bench cushion!

This  is a men's member-guest tournament that filled up fast! Golfers vie for prizes and bragging rights on the course. Activities included a tournament kick-off on with a Shoot-Out and STAG Night for the Men, and special events planned for the ladies as well! Fabulous parties are "par" for the course during this golfers weekend.

1950's Spinalator

Family Health Care
"Walk-In Medical Care for the Entire Family"
refurbished a 1950's Spinalator!
This was a fun little blast from the past to work on!
A spinalator table is most commonly used to mobilize and massage your spine and stimulate muscle mobility. These tables are frequently found in a chiropractic office.

Thanks Anna for choosing Nip n' Tuck Upholstery to restore your table.  We hope it helps those in the community that are in need of your services!
